Simple instructions for cooking our Seasoned Lamb Roast to perfection!

STANDARD COOKING METHOD

    1. Remove from refrigerator and hold for at least 1 hour prior to cooking.
    2. Bring oven to 375°F, place in a baking dish and into the oven to roast.
    3. Baste with butter or oil every 15 minutes throughout the cooking process.
    4. Cook for approximately 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes, to an internal temp of 125°F for  Rare, 135°F for Medium or 145°F for Well Done. Take temperature at the center of the thickest part. Internal temperatures are a more accurate gauge of doneness.
    5. Loosely cover with foil and rest for 20 minutes at room temperature before slicing.

 

SLOW COOKING METHOD

    1. Remove from refrigerator and hold for at least 1 hour prior to cooking.

    2. Bring oven to 250°F, place in a baking dish and into the oven to roast.

    3. Baste with butter or oil every 15 minutes throughout the cooking process.

    4. Cook for approximately 1 hour 50 minuts to 2 hours 20 minutes, to an internal temp of 125°F for  Rare, 135°F for Medium or 145°F for Well Done.  Take temperature at the center of the thickest part of the roast. Internal temperatures are a more accurate gauge of doneness.

    5. Loosely cover w/ foil and rest for 20 minutes at room temperature before slicing.
