Belcampo’s Heritage Turkey is akin to the traditional turkey the pilgrims and your great grandparents would have enjoyed on Thanksgiving. At Belcampo we raise Bronze and Black heritage breeds which are descendants of the wild turkeys native to North America. They have been selected for more than two centuries for their flavorful rich meat vs. the White breeds which more recently came into favor in America for the greater portion of white breast meat. Heritage breeds are slower-growing and thus live a longer life prior to harvest. They are well suited for life on Belcampo’s Organic pasture exploring and playing games under the sun. They enjoy a balanced diet of natural grasses, insects and certified Organic, non-GMO grains.

Will keep frozen in original packaging up to one year.
Each turkey ships frozen.
Thaw turkey in the refrigerator for at least 2 days to allow for thawing at a consistent, safe temperature. The USDA recommends allowing 1 day for each 4-5 pounds of weight.

Our farm, and our practices are crafted with compassion and sustainability at our core, which makes for delicious meat that’s good for you and the planet too. Our farm is Animal Welfare Approved (AWA) and is Certified Organic by California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF). Belcampo meat produced at Belcampo Butchery is also USDA inspected.
